is to explain our activity to patients and to healthcare professionals. The Department of Vascular and Endocrin Surgery at Henri Mondor Hospital, Creteil (Paris’ near suburb) is well known all over the world: over 2,000 interventions are performed every year by 4 senior surgeons.
a clinical program focusing on less invasive therapies of arterial and venous diseases:
- Endovacular replacement of abdominal and thoracic aortic aneurysms
- Endovascular therapy of POAD
- Carotid angioplasty and stenting
- Laser therapy of varicose veines
- Robot-assisted laparoscopic surgery
Complex interventions by conventional surgery are also routinely performed, thanks to up to date technologies of intensive care monitoring and therapy.
leads to research programs based on sophisticated imaging modalities, and to publications. Non invasive testing of arteries and veins is performed by a team of 9 angiologists.

In our unit, a dedicated team of nurses and paramedics is very close to patients and develops specific techniques for wound healing, in a modern setting. The ORs and the angiosuite are among the most modern facilities in Europe.
teaching and research are part of our missions. Students, residents from Paris, but also from all around France are trained in our unit. We also welcome foreign residents, and senior surgeons from all around the world come to visit us.
We organize staff meetings every week, opened to other specialists. Once a month, we organize an evening meeting to learn from invited guests about recent advances in diagnosis or therapy of a specific disease.
